After Years Of Total Abandonment, ‘Girl Without A Face’ Finally Finds Sister And Place To Call Home.

As a child, it is imperative to be surrounded by love and human contact. But 6-year-old Danica Wetmore, who was born into a Ukrainian orphanage, never had so much as a visitor… until one incredible couple stepped in.

Danica suffers from Treacher-Collins syndrome, a disease which left her deaf and missing bones in her face. Her condition is so rare and abnormal that it scared people into abandoning her as a child.  She was completely unwanted.

But Americans Thom and Tami Wetmore were ready to handle the condition and provide a home for Danica.  In fact, they were already familiar with Treacher-Collins, since their daughter Juliana suffers from the same condition.

After falling in love with Danica, Thom and Tami were inspired to adopt.  Their family is a true representation of unconditional love and provision.
