Groom Refused To Do Wedding Vows, Instead He Stunned The Ceremony With A Performance No One Expected.

Weddings are the best. And there’s nothing like a simple, traditional ceremony… but every now and again, one couple (or, in this case, the groom!) decides to give an established wedding tradition a makeover.

Jared Basham and his new bride Kyndra fell in love over the telephone while she was deployed with the air force. They talked about anything and everything, but Jared had a favorite silly game he’d play to make Kyndra laugh, even though she was 1,000 miles away.

On their wedding day, Jared decided to revisit those early moments of hilarity by shaking up a long-standing wedding tradition. Per his old ways, and to be more “expressive,” Jared decided to do a hilarious lip sync during the wedding vows.  The result is amazing.

“I know that I struggle, sometimes, showing my emotions,” Jared says when its his turn to give vows, “and because of that, I vow to try to express how I feel to you. In just the most creative and ludicrous ways at the most inopportune times. Kind of like right now.”

That’s when he throws on some shades and breaks into “You’re The One That I Want” from Grease. Then it’s All 4 One’s classic, super-cheesy jam “I swear.” Then Ed Sheeran “Thinking Out Loud,” *NSYNC’s “This I Promise You,” and then– best of all– Whitney Houston’s epic ballad “I Will Always Love You.” The bride is in tears, and the groomsmen can’t help but join in by the end!
