Miranda Lambert Rushes To Houston– Saves Dozens Of Helpless Dogs From Drowning.

Almost as soon as Hurricane Harvey made landfall, stories about everyday people working together to help the victims emerged from the deluge of horrific updates. But humans weren’t the only ones who needed help, and that’s where Miranda Lambert and the organization she founded, MuttNation, focused their attention during relief efforts.

On Monday, MuttNation staff and volunteers took off for southern Texas and picked up animals housed at shelters in and around Houston. They wanted to make space for the four-legged refugees who inevitably follow disasters like Harvey. And thank goodness they did.

Miranda herself was there, and on Tuesday she posted a photo of a mama dog and her newborn pups– her “roommates” for the night.

They were among the more than 70 dogs the organization took from flooded shelters that day and transported to dry, safe shelters across the country. And boy, are they traveling in style!
