Recently, nearly 300 types of coffee have been recalled due to the potential of botulism. Similarly, ice cream has been added to the list of recent recalls being made. The manufacturer being affected is called Totally Cool Inc. — although their name may be unfamiliar, their brands likely aren’t. This includes Hershey’s, Chipwich, Jeni’s, and more. According to the FDA, 68 products have been recalled across 13 brands.

So far, there haven’t been any reports of illness due to these ice cream products. Rather, the recall was based on a discovery made by the FDA. While sampling the company’s products, the presence of listeria monocytogenes was discovered. As a result, an immediate halt on production and distribution was put into place.
