With A Few Days To Live, The Real Life ‘Benjamin Button’ Inspired Millions Around The World With This TED Talk.

Most of us learn early on that life is not fair. As Charles Dickens would say, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.”Sam Burns understood this better than most anyone. Sam was an honors student, marching band leader and eagle scout – but also the world’s ‘oldest’ teenager.

Sam was born with an extremely rare rapid aging disease called Progeria. The condition causes children to age 8x faster than their unaffected peers.  It gave him an appearance similar to the title movie character Benjamin Button in his early years.

The disease recently claimed Sam’s life, but not before he was able to change the hearts and minds of millions. The 17-yr-old’s unfaltering perspective was one of hope, joy and unconditional love for others.  His wisdom at 7:45 in the video is fantastic.

Watch Sam’s incredible TED talk below. His spirit and perspective is a shining beacon of light for us all!
