Teen Uses Popcorn Bowl To Simply Explain Einstein’s Most Complicated Theory, At 5:40 My Mind Was Blown.

If you’ve seen the recent blockbuster hit “Interstellar,”Einsteins theory of relativity might still be boggling your mind. Einstein postulated that time is relative and moves differently throughout the universe in relation to the celestial bodies around it. Basically, one hour spent on another planet could be equal to decades gone past here on earth.

Something this advanced isn’t your average teenager’s area of expertise.

But Ryan Chester of North Royalton, Ohio is not average. He submitted the video below to the Breakthrough Junior Challenge in hopes of gaining some recognition. The competition received over 2,000 applications from 86 countries, but Chester’s video explaining Einstein’s Theory of Relativity took home the prize and glory.

Chester’s video is special because of its simplicity. He took one of the most complicated and mind boggling theories of all time and put it in a framework that anyone can understand. As Einstein himself always said, “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.â€

Chester’s $400,000 in winnings will be split between a $250,000 personal scholarship fund, $50,000 to his science teacher and $100,000 to fund his school’s science lab.

Not bad for a high school student! Check out his awesome explanation below and prepare to leave entertained and bigger brained!
