On June 6th, 2014 a young boy stood on Omaha beach dressed in a WWII uniform holding an America flag. He was there with his dad to pay tribute to all the soldiers who fought and died on this very beach 70 years ago to fight for freedom.
But what he did there for a school project has now inspired millions! That’s because he stood on that beach holding a salute for an hour and a half, only breaking it to wipe tears from his eyes.
His dedication to honoring those who fought for our freedom is deeply moving, and honestly so humbling because he was only 11 years old and yet had such a profound understanding of what true sacrifice means.
