This Sweet Dog Swims Everyday To Meet His Friend. And It’s One Of The Strangest, Sweetest Relationships Ever.

This relationship in this video sweetly demonstrates that true friendship can transcend any barriers. The crew of BBC’s Countryfile are filming the harbor of Tory Island for the show, but they end up catching much more than a scenic shot of the ocean. They capture a beautiful friendship between a Labrador retriever and a dolphin!

The narrator explains that this isn’t just a one-time occurrence; the dog and his dolphin friend can be seen together on most days. James Taylor’s “You’ve Got a Friend” plays in the background as the unlikely duo play together.

It turns out, the Labrador belongs to a nearby hotel, and the dolphin is well-known in the town as Dougie the Dolphin. The video footage of the pair begins about 15 seconds in when the dog climbs down a set of stairs to the water.

“You’re the only dog I’ve known who can swim with dolphins!” laughs the host of Countryfile, petting the wet dog.

World-renowned cricket player Harbhajan Singh had it right when he said, “I define friendship as a bond that transcends all barriers. When you are ready to expect anything and everything from friends, good, bad or ugly… That’s what I call  true friendship.”
