Craco is an ancient ghost town near the southern coast of Italy. The Greeks have records of colonizing this rugged outcropping early as 540 AD when it was known as Montedoro. The area was deserted after a series of natural disasters made the area unsafe, or at least caused everyone to be very nervous.
