Kids can be amazing. Watch this second grader as she takes over the stage, singing a Whitney Houston song. She knocks it out of the auditorium. Although she starts hesitatingly, it doesn’t take her long to pull out of her shell. With the microphone in hand, she dances and prances her way into the audience’s hearts.

The video, posted by Samora’s aunt, is not the first one showcasing this young lady and her talent. At two, she was already impersonating Whitney Houston and rocking it. Samora danced like a pro on the stage, hitting every part of the routine while singing. Her energy radiated into the audience during the performance.
Samora copied Whitney Houston’s 1980s look when the song “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” was a top hit. Wearing her hair in natural curls, she tied it back with a pink hairband and large bow. Her costume was complete with a matching tutu in fluffy pink tulle and an ’80s t-shirt. Wearing the shirt with her left shoulder exposed, this tiny powerhouse understood the assignment.

In ten years, we might see Samora rocking concert audiences in huge stadiums. For now, she is the rising star of the second-grade talent competition. As the performance continues, the little star gains confidence with each note. Watching her, it is difficult to remember that she is only around eight years old.
As the young entertainer finished, she took a quick bow. The audience wildly cheered and called out her name. She slid back into the shy persona she began with. Then we remembered she is only in second grade. She has an entire future ahead of her. Look out Beyoncé!
