A favorite part of most weddings is the traditional bouquet toss. This is usually accomplished by gathering all the unwed attendees in a group. The bride faces away from the crowd and tosses her bouquet over her head to the waiting crowd. In some cases, this works out just fine. Other times, the melee is reminiscent of a tee ball game pile-on. One bride figured out a unique way to put a twist on the bouquet toss at her wedding.

The twist of a key, that is. The bouquet was locked into a small, house-shaped glass enclosure. Each eligible participant was given a key. The key that opens the lock wins the bouquet toss. The participants lined up with their keys to await their turn.
The first two keys didn’t open the case…
The third and fourth keys didn’t work either. The line moves forward, and the fifth and final person tries.
Is that guy in the line, too? This game might be getting interesting. Her key worked! But…
Did the guy fall? Meh… he seems fine. Back to the bouquet and a quick hug from the bride.
Are you sensing that this isn’t exactly what it appears to be? After the hug, the bride gave her friend a little spin that caused a scream.
That is the fastest-acting bouquet toss we’ve ever seen!
If you haven’t figured it out yet, this whole game was an elaborate setup by the bride. The keys were rigged, and she knew who would win the bouquet toss and subsequent proposal. What a beautiful way to share her day in the spotlight.
