After the ride, the young passenger was exiting as he told his Mom, “The drop” was scary. Passengers plummet down an 84-foot drop angled at 51 degrees. The Jurassic Park ride has a fear factor rating of four out of five T-rexes from the Orlando Informer.

The boat travels along an underwater track through a Jurassic world of animatronic dinosaurs and prehistoric sights. Near the end of the ride, guests experience “the drop.” You can view the Jurassic Park River Adventure Ride with a virtual ride on YouTube.

The meandering ride takes about six minutes. While the tracks wind through the Jurassic wilderness, various dinosaurs forage serenely along the river’s edge. Near the end, passengers plummet down an 84-foot drop angled at 51 degrees. The incline is inside the dark “warehouse,” so people don’t realize how high they have climbed, and the drop is a surprise.

The Scaredy Cat Guide rates the ride five out of five stars for being scary and having incredible animatronics. The drop category carries five out of five stars. While most of the ride seems tame, ending with that colossal drop adds intensity. Experienced amusement park adventurers would rate this newly renovated ride as boring until that last-minute drop.

Please share if you have any dinosaur-loving friends traveling to Florida.
