“My Friend Surprised Her Mom With The Dog She’s Wanted Her Whole Life”

When this woman decided to surprise her mom with the dog of her dreams, her friend had to capture the encounter on video. We’re glad she did, because the footage is way too sweet! In this adorable clip, Kari Lenhart Fletcher arrived at her mother’s door carrying an oversized purse that definitely wasn’t suspicious. She claimed that she’d been “going through a bunch of stuff” and was giving away the things she didn’t use anymore. So, she wanted to know if her mom was interested in the bag.

When the elderly woman took a closer look at the purse, she discovered that it wasn’t empty. This mom was completely surprised to find the tiniest, most adorable dog inside! She was immediately overcome with emotion as she realized that her daughter had gotten this precious pup just for her.

It wasn’t long before Kari’s mother was cradling the little pooch in her arms. She was obviously smitten with her new pet!

“Yes, I love you so much,” she told the animal. “I only just met you.”

Kari reposted the video that her friend had captured during the heartwarming mother-daughter moment. In her caption, she explained why she had chosen to surprise her mom with this specific dog. Apparently, the pint-sized canine was the spitting image of her late sister’s pet. Her mother had been extremely fond of that dog, so Kari searched far and wide to find one just like her!

“Surprised my mom with a new ‘Lili’ pup, after she lost my sister and my sister’s little Chihuahua, Lili nearly 2 years ago,” the woman wrote. “I was able to find one that looks like the former Lili. This tiny joy will bring her some relief in all of the painful grieving she has experienced.”

No wonder Mom was in tears when Kari surprised her with this dog! Now, she not only has a new best friend, but a beautiful way to remember her other daughter.
