No matter how much you try to resist them, naps are sometimes inevitable — that’s a lesson this toddler had to learn the hard way! A parent on social media caught the most hilarious footage of their young son insisting that he didn’t need to rest. He wanted to keep playing instead! As you can imagine, this plan didn’t quite work out. Despite his best efforts, the kid ended up falling asleep in the silliest location!

In this hysterical clip, the toddler was riding around the driveway in his toy car when Dad mentioned that it was time for a nap. Immediately, the small boy was filled with indignance. How dare his father even suggest sleeping at a time like this?
“I don’t want to take a nap,” the little boy said, repeating himself for good measure. “I don’t want to take a nap!”
However, this child soon found out that his dad was right, as dads often are. It was time for a nap, whether the toddler wanted one or not. Moments later, the small boy was fast asleep in his toy car. He must have drifted off with his foot on the gas pedal, because the vehicle was still spinning!
Millions of people have watched this video online, and commenters thought it was too funny!
“He didn’t take a nap, a nap took him,” one user quipped.
Another chimed in, “See, he’s not even tired!”
Toddlers may try to fight it, but naptime always wins.
We’re not sure what toddlers have against naps. Maybe they don’t want anything cutting into their playtime, or perhaps they simply don’t like being told what to do. Either way, most parents will agree that it’s very difficult to get young kids to settle down during the day!
Unfortunately, the more you try to avoid naptime, the more it strikes back with a vengeance — often in the most inconvenient places! Perhaps the little boy in the video learned a lesson about listening to his parents that day. Probably not, though.
