When you’re a golden retriever mom, you should know to expect almost anything. This unpredictable breed has tons of personality, and every single one is different. The fact that Goose, a rescue dog living with his mom, bvally1 in Dallas, Texas, is a Houdini should not be a surprise. He got caught in a curious position when his mom checked the golden retriever on the ring cam.

When she left home, Goose was secure in his crate in the corner of the living room. Apparently, the positioning of the crate wasn’t conducive to his television viewing. The golden retriever somehow managed to escape from the crate, but the ring cam caught him lounging on the sofa watching dog TV.
There are worse things for a Houdini dog to do. He could have been destroying the house, digging in the trash, and eating one sock from every pair. Instead, the ring cam caught the golden retriever lying calmly on the sofa watching his shows. When his mom spoke to him through the camera, he turned and tried to give her kisses, but she wasn’t there.
He wasn’t ashamed of his actions. He had zero concern when caught. The only visible reaction seemed to be impatience and a desire for silence. By asking him questions through the camera, his mom was obviously disturbing his private time. The mystery remains: How did Houdini get out of his crate?
