Every single dog deserves love, care, and safety. This is true no matter their breed. Sadly, this has been made difficult for a few reasons. For examples, pit bulls have earned a bad reputation over the years. In fact, it all started in the 1800s when pit bill fighting became more common. Some were even bred for this very purpose.

As a result, folks still view pit bulls in a negative light. This is despite evidence that shows pit bulls are no more likely to be aggressive than any other breed. But knowing that not all pit bulls are aggressive and being able to interact with one are two different things. So, when Jennifer Lee adopted a pit bull in 2019, her mom struggled for a while.

As much as Mom wanted to get past her fear, doing so was difficult. But she wanted to have a good relationship with her daughter’s dog, so she pushed past her fears anyway. And, in doing so, she actually managed to develop the sweetest relationship with Maggie. See the progress they’ve made in the beautiful clip below!

“Six years of Maggie convincing GiGi that’s she’s not scary at all,” Jennifer writes in the caption of her video. “She’s just a teeny tiny wittle baby who needs all the lovies.”

With time, patience, and a lot of love, Mom and Maggie have become so close. The two of them love each other, and it’s warming the hearts of countless people online!

“When a pit bull changes a humans perception the world gets a little better,” someone shares in reply to Jennifer’s video, with another person adding, “That tail is like a whip, only thing to be scared of! Perhaps being kissed to death.”
