In her slideshow, Anna shared that she wasn’t banking on remaining at the hospital for nearly six weeks. However, she ended up having to undergo an additional surgery. Despite her busy schedule, Anna’s brain surgeon visited her to make sure that her mother had returned home safely.

When Anna required further care due to a CFS leak, her brain surgeon made room in her agenda to perform the procedure herself. She also gave the patient an incredibly sweet pep talk before treatment.

Although it was completely necessary, the brain surgeon still felt terrible about having to shave part of her patient’s head. Anna understood, but the doctor apologized anyway.

When Anna told her brain surgeon about something traumatic that she experienced after a previous surgery, the doctor took her concerns seriously. She was determined not to let the situation repeat itself, so she “literally put in orders to prevent that specific trauma.”

Anna was only expecting to be at the hospital for a couple of weeks, but she wasn’t able to leave until much later. Even though there was nothing she could have done to prevent this situation, the brain surgeon still apologized.

Although Anna’s doctor was incredibly empathetic, she was also straightforward. When she had to deliver hard truths, she did so without hesitation. However, she was never too brutal.
“She doesn’t sugar coat anything, but also doesn’t deliver bad news in a harsh manner,” the patient wrote.

When Anna was having second thoughts about one of her upcoming surgeries, her doctor took the time to provide her with more information. After hearing the surgeon’s explanation of the procedure, she felt more confident about going through with it.

At the end of the patient’s slideshow, she shared the most heartwarming moment that she experienced with her brain surgeon. Anna was feeling discouraged because of her complicated health issues, but her doctor’s words filled her with hope.
“She wanted to ensure me that no matter what she’s not giving up on me,” the woman wrote in her final slide.

We’re so glad that Anna received such spectacular care during her hospital stay! Let’s hope that this brain surgeon continues to make all her patients feel this safe and secure.
