The Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Championships is a yearly competition that brings teams from around the world. Participating sculptors have four days to transform a massive 25-ton block of packed snow into their vision. The 2025 competition was the 34th annual event in Breckenridge, Colorado. Twelve teams joined the competition to display their creativity.

The rules are relatively straightforward. Each team gets a block of packed snow, and they have 96 hours to transform it into their sculpture. Teams may only use hand tools, including chicken wire, carving tools, and vegetable peelers. The sculptures are fine-tuned, and attention to detail is the order of the day.

Sculpting took place from January 20 to 24 this year. Five judges examine the finished sculptures to determine the Breckenridge snow sculpture competition winners. Judges use creativity, visual impact, technical skill, and continuity to determine winners. The sculptures remain displayed in the Riverwalk Center for a week after the competition closes.
