Baby’s First Time At Hibachi Leaves Her Absolutely Flabbergasted

Images show a baby watching a Hibachi chef for the first time.

TikTok trends have become all the rage among users of that social media platform. One recent trend has brought innumerable laughs: a baby reacting to visiting a Hibachi grill for the first time. Mayla and Austin felt compelled to jump in with their daughter, Reverie.

Her reaction shows that the baby is unsure about that Hibachi guy. The chef never stops moving, and Reverie is watching raptly. When the fire flared, it was pure shock and awe, but she settled immediately back into her “What am I seeing?” mode. Reverie was all eyes watching the chef, and there was no sleeping at the dinner table!

The family decided to add a follow-up visit six months later. Judging by the baby’s reaction, Hibachi will be a favorite restaurant choice in her life. She showed the same amazement and was entirely in tune, watching the chef work to prepare their meal.

Since she went viral we had to take her again… 🤣 #hibachi #babyreaction #fyp

Reverie is mesmerized by the chef as he slices, dices, and sets things on fire. Her reactions almost mirror those from the earlier video. There seems to be a slight flicker of, “I think I’ve seen this before,” but it doesn’t detract from the wonder.

You can watch this family grow on TikTok. Mayla and Austin were best friends, and they married and are raising a child. The couple share a lot about their adventures as young parents. Austin takes his turn being a daddy, and some special bonding moments between him and Reverie are adorable. Being young parents can be scary, but this couple embraces it enthusiastically.
