Rapt Crowd Watches In Awe As Man Performs Complicated-Yet-Mundane Task In The Streets

It all started with a social media post. Someone in Wellington, New Zealand was set to put on a free performance unlike any other. The plan? To demonstrate a remarkable skill: The ability to actually fold a fitted sheet. You know, the kind of sheet with those elastic, rounded edges. While some of us know how to properly fold them, for most, it remains a mystery. So, the idea of people wanting to watch someone go through the steps of folding a fitted sheet isn’t entirely absurd.

That said, the turn out for this silly event blew everyone’s expectations out of the water. It took place on a street and near random restaurants. But based on the hundreds of people who showed up, you might would think that a famous celebrity was putting on an impromptu performance. See this hilarious demonstration in the video below!

The only thing more hilarious than this free demonstration are the priceless reactions from the crowd. It’s clear that everyone who showed up fully embraced the weirdness of this situation, and it made the whole thing even better. I imagine that this is one lesson that Dan Boerman took home that day. He’s the infamous man who put on this demonstration. Turns out, he’s a comedian from Wellington, though he lives elsewhere now. With a comedy show coming up (fittingly named Dan Boerman Folds a Fitted Sheet on His Own), he thought this would be a unique, fun way to spread the word. But he never expected it to blow up like this!

“[The crowd was] so stoked on the idea and it was such a fun, nonsense event. I don’t think anything like that has happened in Wellington in a long time,” Dan shares. “… “No other city in the world would respond like that.”
