A Real Man: Mom Captures Touching Footage Of Husband Defusing “Wild” Daughters

Two little girls and their dad chat outside. Dad is on their level, looking calm. Both girls are crying and ones rubs her eyes

Is there anyone who actually thinks parenting is easy? If they’ve ever had a kid, odds are, the answer is a resounding “no.” But as challenging as it is to raise little ones, there are lots of resources for support. This includes social media, where moms like Lauren McDonald get real when it comes to the ups and downs of parenting. In one viral video, she gives her viewers insight into what they do when their girls misbehave in public — this time in particular has dad taking action.

As Lauren explains, the four of them were out for a meal at a restaurant. Unfortunately, their daughters were in quite a rambunctious mood. When it got to the point where it seemed they could be disturbing other guests, they decided to take action. But rather than losing their temper or punishing them physically, Dad steps outside with them for a chat. Watch for yourself in the video below.

@lumcdonald They came back inside reset and well behaved. Apologies to anyone we may have disturbed during lunch today 😊#gentleparenting #parenting #fyp #momsoftiktok #momtok #dadsoftiktok ♬ original sound – cj

Getting on their level, he’s better able to have a difficult conversation about their behavior. While this can be challenging at times, too, Lauren is happy to report that this method works wonders for their little ones. In fact, once they came back inside, she says the kids were able to “reset” and be “well behaved.” How cool is that?

“THIS is gentle parenting,” someone points out in the comment section of the video. “So many people mistake it for permissive parenting and never actually correct behavior before starting fresh. Loving them through it without getting physical, Well done!”

“This is the right way to parent!!!” another person shares. “Sometimes kids just need a little guidance versus being yelled at or ignored.”
