Adele Is A Céline Dion Super Fan
Adele, a self-proclaimed Celine Dion super fan, has supported Celine’s illustrious career throughout the decades and no doubt found inspiration in her work. Celine dropped her first single at only 12 and went on to become one of the most influential and iconic singers in history.
However, the 56-year-old has largely stayed out of the spotlight after being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, an autoimmune disorder that causes painful stiffness and spasms in the muscles.
Per the Los Angeles Times, the five-time Grammy winner shared that her illness affects “every aspect” of her life, down to walking and breathing. It also took a toll on her vocal cords, which halted her career.
Celine Dion took a break from singing in 2019. After undergoing treatment and therapy, she made a triumphant return to the stage during the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony. She hasn’t performed since. But the powerhouse singer continues to work with doctors and therapists and is determined to regain her strength.
“I’m going to go back onstage, even if I have to crawl. Even if I have to talk with my hands, I will. I will,” she told Today in June. “I am Celine Dion—because today my voice will be heard for the first time, not just because I have to or because I need to. It’s because I want to, and I miss it.”
