Adam Sandler Remembered All The Best During His ‘SNL50’ Performance

It’s easy to see why they chose Adam for the task. No one can string lyrics together quite like him. There’s not a person in America who doesn’t love The Thanksgiving Song, and whether we’re Jewish or not, we can probably sing The Chanukah Song. On SNL50, Adam Sandler shared his ode to Lorne and the rest of the men and women who made SNL great. From Eddie Murphy to Billy Crystal, Jan Hooks, and Rachel Dratch, Adam took us down a musical memory lane. He even choked up, remembering his friends Chris Farley and Norm McDonald. Even though Lorne fired him from SNL in 1995, he didn’t appear to harbor any ill will toward the show or the creator who helped launch his career.

Fans loved Adam Sandler on SNL50.

A fan wrote on YouTube, “Probably the most heart-felt part of the whole evening.”

This person agreed, “Leave it to Sandler to make us all cry. What a touching tribute.”

Another fan summed it up nicely. “Adam Sandler has a rare gift – he makes us laugh, then breaks our hearts at the same time. His tribute was more than a song; it was a love letter to legends and a reminder of the magic they brought to the world through Saturday Night Live. I’m filled with grief and gratitude watching this… thank you all for 50 great years of SNL… and thank you Lorne for thinking it all up… TB.”
