Adorable Chaos: “When Your Grand Baby FaceTimes You And Runs From Her Daddy”

Images show Baby Annie on Facetime with her Grandparents.

When you have kids, chaos is a fact of life. Life can be wild when the chaos involves a baby and her Grandma on a FaceTime video call. Little Annie was on the phone with her Gigi. At that moment, her dad decided to chase the child. She started running, and Gigi was heard telling her, “Run, Annie, run! Don’t let him git you.” Annie was giggling but managed to keep her pacifier in her mouth the entire time.

Gigi and Pepaw are pretty hands-on with their grandchildren. You can see both reading many books to the kids and testing different voices and sound effects. There are dance parties, field trips, backyard campfires, and walks in the park. Gigi even teaches the littles about kitchen tasks like making spaghetti squash.

Teaching the baby to use FaceTime was either the greatest plan on Earth or the worst parenting mistake. But the blame seems to go both ways. We’re sure Gigi and Pepaw instigated this call to get some Annie kisses.

Any video you select from Olive’s Gigi TikTok offers a ton of smiles. Snow days are extra special for all the grandchildren. Annie had her first day in the snow and was resplendent in her pink snowsuit. Gigi sings with the kids and shares her morning with matching bedhead hairdos.

Having hands-on grandparents can be very helpful for busy parents. Many family budgets require both parents to work. Cultivating the relationships between children and grandparents offers memories the kids will tell their grandchildren someday. Kudos to these grandparents for offering their time so freely. Remember to thank your parents if they help with your kids.

Please share these happy moments and teach your baby to FaceTime.
