One couple experienced the most incredible wildlife encounter during a hike when they saw a baby mountain goat in person! Sydney and Isaac live in an RV and spend most of their time traveling across the United States together. Recently, they decided to explore the mountain ranges at Glacier National Park in Montana. There, they shared a special moment with some local animals that they wouldn’t soon forget! Sydney and Isaac captured the interaction in a mesmerizing video on social media.

As the couple was hiking one of the trails, a mountain goat wandered right up to them. Obviously, the humans didn’t want to get too close to the animal, so they tried to keep their distance while filming. For a moment, the creature paused, staring at Sydney and Isaac. Then, she turned to look behind her, as if waiting for someone else to join her.
“He’s calling for his friend,” said Sydney to her partner.
However, the woman quickly realized that she’d made a mistake. This mountain goat was a mama, and she was watching her baby in the distance! The couple followed the animal’s gaze with their camera. Sure enough, a miniature version of the critter was standing on a rocky ledge nearby!
Sydney and Isaac were very careful to stay out of the mother’s way as she progressed down the trail. They also kept a safe distance from the baby mountain goat. Obviously, it’s never a good idea to get too close to wildlife, especially when you’re dealing with a mother and her child! This couple also refrained from speaking too loudly or making any startling sounds, which is impressive considering the level of cuteness they were witnessing.
Commenters loved the sweet video of the mountain goat and her baby. Others were mesmerized by the gorgeous scenery at the national park.
