“AGT”: Watch The Inspirational, Tear-Jerking Act That Earned The Final Live Golden Buzzer

Sebastian and Sonia AGT Golden Buzzer

Aerialist Sebastian amazed the crowd and the judges with his stunning AGT performance this week. His partner Sonia was hurt in an accident, and she couldn’t join him for the quarterfinals. So he had to redo his act in three days. Sebastian’s rushed act was so beautiful that it earned the final live Golden Buzzer.

AGT Golden Buzzer Act Sebastian and Sonia

The performance started with Sebastian descending from the ceiling alone. He then raised back into the air while spinning on one arm. He made all of the tucks, spins, and movements look effortless. As the pace of Shawn Mendes’s In My Blood picked up, so did the intensity of Sebastian’s performance.

Later in the performance, the camera panned to Sonia, who was watching behind the scenes. Fans could see that her arm was in a sling. According to NBC, Sonia fell and fractured her elbow while practicing on the AGT stage. The injury sidelined her for the most recent episode of America’s Got Talent.

Solo Performance Steals The Show

While fans may have feared that the judges would be disappointed in only one aerial performer, that was not the case. Simon started the comments by saying, “I am on my feet, Terry, because a lot of people would have given up. How do you do this act with two people , with one person , and then make it incredible?”

He praised the couple for their continued efforts to go on with the show. Simon mentioned that most people would have admitted defeat in the face of an injury and applauded Sebastian and Sonia for not giving up. From there, the AGT judge mentioned that this performance received one of the best reactions so far, so he decided to give them the Golden Buzzer.

Together or apart, Sebastian and Sonia are a formidable AGT Golden Buzzer pair. We look forward to seeing what incredible ideas they surprise us with at the next stage in the completion.
