Al Roker’s Daughter Courtney Announces Heartbreaking Death

Courtney Roker Laga, the daughter of Al Roker and his ex-wife, Alice Bell, shared tragic news on social media. Courtney’s mom passed away at age 77. According to TMZ, Al and Alice married in 1984 and divorced a decade later. The pair adopted Courtney in 1987. The doting daughter posted several pictures of herself with her mom through the years. Although she did not disclose how her mother died, she appeared to be wearing oxygen in more recent photos. No matter the cause, losing her mother was clearly devastating to Courtney.

Al Roker And His Ex-Wife Also Shared A Granddaughter

Courtney’s Instagram post included pictures of Alice and her granddaughter, Sky. Courtney shared a sweet tribute that reads.

“She was my mother, my heart, and the most loving grandmother to Sky. I was with her for her last breath, and I will carry her love with me always.”

Many shared kid words with the family.

A follower wrote, “Sincere condolences to you and family and for all who loves her.”

“Oh no! Deepest condolences to your family. May her memory continue to be a blessing to you all,” another shared.

This person made a sweet tribute, “May she soar on angel’s wings! My deepest condolences to you and your family. Take a break and let your heart grieve the loss of your beautiful mother.”

Someone shared, “Courtney, I am so sorry for your loss. May your memories be a source of comfort to you. “

This person didn’t realize Al Roker had an ex-wife.

“So sorry for your loss. Sorry, I am a bit behind, but I thought your Mom was Deborah, married to Al Roker? Again, my sympathies to you and yours.”

But most understood and shared sweet condolences. Like this: “Losing a grandmother is a gut kicker. Know that she loved Sky and YOU so much. Memories are golden.”
