In the 17 years that “America’s Got Talent” has been on air, they’ve never had an audition like this one. When the performance started, not a single person was on stage. Rather, a giant screen with an animated dog appeared. Confused, Simon Cowell asked nearby staff to explain what was going on.

Turns out, Noodle and Bun aren’t your typical band. These unusual characters are made by animators, but their vocals are done by a human backstage. On top of that, the person explained to Cowell that when the performance airs on TV, they’ll be edited to seem as though they are on stage.
Cowell had a difficult time chatting with Bun without laughing, but much of the laughter faded once his friends joined the stage and they began to sing “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith. While the performance remailed silly at heart, Bun’s vocals had the audience on their feet. Needless to say, of all the singing animals they’ve seen over the years, Bun is the most talented vocally.
