Gayle Antonides owns and operates Bug Ceramics. She works hard as an artist to produce unique ceramics and pottery. She enjoys the company of several different animals, but an unexpected visitor caught her by surprise. As she sat at the pottery wheel spinning a vase or pitcher, a beautiful dove flew in to watch.

At first, the dove seemed content to watch the pottery spin on the wheel. It pranced around on a side table before perching on the side of the wheel’s water well. It hops gingerly around the edge of the bowl as the wheel spins. Looking around the workshop, the little dove seems to appreciate everything.
As it reached the left side of the bowl, the dove hesitated, watching the wet clay spin. Gently, the bird leaned toward the spinning shape. Its beak touched the clay’s body, leaving a slight indentation. As the curious little bird pulled away, a tiny drop of gray clay remained on its beak. Like a master potter, the dove leaned back to admire its work.

In addition to creating pottery for sale, the studio does classes in pottery and ceramics. Watch as Gayle works to shape a bowl with a young child, exercising patience and laughing at distractions. The pottery studio dog was walking around and, of course, the obligatory fart sound at the end.
