Slippery When Wet: Man’s Attempted Trophy Fish Photo Turns Into Silly Blooper

Every fisherman wants to land a trophy catch. The fish photo opportunity happens on the boat when you’re out with Big Waters Guide Service because they practice catch and release. After a catch, the angler holds up their fish, and Captain Big Water takes a quick video. Most of the time, the fish behave, and the fishermen maintain a firm grip. But occasionally, they catch a “Billy Bass” that tries to jump off the wall while singing the blues.

The fish refusing capture is a Steelhead Trout, a type of Rainbow Trout native to the Pacific Ocean. Migratory steelheads are found in the tributaries off the Pacific coast. They have also been introduced into freshwater lakes since the late 1800s. Different varieties of Steelhead are on threatened or endangered lists.

This one was not having of this fish photo nonsense and formulated his escape. The look on the angler’s face as the fish began moving is priceless!

It looks like the man was expecting the fish to smile for the camera. When it squirmed, the man was in complete shock. This fish photo op is hilarious. We’re guessing the guide forgot to mention that fish are slippery when wet.
