“That One Time My 9-Month-Old Said ‘I Love You’ To Her Daddy”

Left image shows a 9-month-old saying "DaDa." Right image is the baby hugging her dad after she says "I Love you."

When TikTok user Erica posted a video of her baby supposedly saying “I love you” at 9 months old, I hesitated to believe it. We’ve all heard over-zealous parents saying their kids passed milestones years earlier than expected. After several watches, I can no longer remain a skeptic. See for yourself.

That one time my 9 month old said “I love you” to her daddy 😩☺️🥰 #babiesoftiktok #babygirl #iloveyou #fyp

While there might still be an argument for that being random sounds, considering the intonation and the context, she was answering her dad. How she smiles and buries her face in Daddy’s chest is adorable. There is no doubt that this child has “DaDa” cemented into her vocabulary. It may have been a long time before she repeated the “I love you” again, but she did seem to say it once.

Erica is a stay-at-home mom. Although their daughter now whispers about cute boys at preschool, this clip is timeless. Like a child’s first step or any other “first,” the moment will be cherished. While very few people might believe that the baby said “I love you” at such an early age, the video is hard to dispute.

When their baby says I love you it took the parents by surprise, but now their baby is a toddler in preschool.

Parents will always be proud of their children, and they should be. Whether your child meets or exceeds the prescribed milestones, be proud of everything they do. Cut their first tooth? Yay! Figured out how to take their socks off? Yay! Everything a child does is something a parent can be proud of.

We all carry high-resolution cameras at all times. You don’t have to post anything online. Many parents don’t want their children on the internet. That’s fine, but catch those special moments. They only happen once, and there is no replay in real life.

Please share if you’re glad Erica shared her magic moment.
