Following the season 29 finale, the newly engaged couple sat down with People to discuss their love story and Juliana’s gorgeous new rock. Neil said, “The nuance is the structure of the relationship and how it needs to be constantly built and maintained. [Grant and Juliana] are a very powerful couple.”

This Bachelor Had A Hard Time Choosing The Perfect Engagement Ring

Neil told People it’s not an easy decision, and this season’s bachelor found ring shopping a bit daunting.

“He ended up with this because he felt that was the one for her. Her personality, she’s very bubbly, strong, compassionate and has a sense of style about herself. He was also looking at the style of the ring and the wearability of it,” he said.

Grant said Juliana made a specific request for a gold ring, so he knew what direction to turn. He added that the ring truly represents the pair as a couple. “The ring just speaks to our relationship,” Grant said. “It’s funky, it’s unique, it’s fresh, but it also symbolizes love and commitment, and it’s possible to have both. … Love doesn’t look a certain way. So I feel like that’s why I picked the most unique ring that I could.”

Juliana agreed and shared her thoughts on the show’s finale. She was most excited about snagging bachelor Grant, but the ring was a close second.

“I was definitely more excited to say ‘yes’ than to actually put the ring on my finger because I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, you are my person. I’m keeping you,'” she said. “This is the second prize, but it was cool. It was really fun.”
