Some things just go together, like peanut butter and Jelly, Rosanne and Jackie, Macaroni and Cheese, and Michael Jackson’s Thriller on Halloween. The song may not have been released for Halloween, but it certainly serves as the perfect soundtrack. Ballet Austin loves Halloween, and this year, they went all out for their annual Thriller flash mob.

Dancers from Ballet Austin’s Butler Center for Dance and Fitness Hit The Town For The “Thriller” Flash Mob
Contrary to what we may think, a flash mob doesn’t just happen. It takes a lot of time and effort to coordinate and perfect. Ballet Austin has its Thriller flash mob down to a science.
To be part of the fun, the zombies trained for four weeks at Ballet Austin’s Butler Center for Dance and Fitness with instructor Leah Baxter. They learned the Thriller zombie dance and the zombie walk and prepared for the flash mob. Dancers donned their most ghoulish costumes and descended on downtown Austin on October 30.
For the big event, around 50 dancers crawled from their graves to perform through the streets of downtown Austin. They stopped in front of Trader Joe’s for the big finale, and a crowd of surprised onlookers cheered.
People loved the Thriller flash mob, especially the dancers.
“This was the most fun I’ve had in a long time,” a former zombie wrote on Instagram. “I’m going to miss our Monday night practice and all the cool, creative people in this class!”
Another person wrote, “That’s about as perfect you can get to the original thriller!!”
This person agreed, “Making Michael Jackson proud with those moves!!”
