Billy announced his residency would end in a release in early November 2023. And while he’s closing a chapter, he’s ready.

“We don’t want to go either, but it’s time,” Billy said during his final show. “It’s ten years. None of us knew we were going to be able to do this for this long. This has been the most amazing gig that we’ve ever done, ever.”

Billy was joined on stage by some special guests to commemorate the milestone as a banner was hung for the hometown hero. His youngest daughters, Della Rose, 8, and Remy Anne, 6, beamed with their dad in front of a sold-out crowd of nearly 20,000 fans.

Billy Joel’s Daughters Stole The Show

The girls wore matching dresses and stayed on stage with Billy as he performed his hit My Life. They sang and danced, and Della Rose took a chance at the mic.

“Thank you, Madison Square Garden,” she yelled.

“I guess it’s her life now,” her dad joked. “Thanks, girls!”

According to People, Billy has been playing at Madison Square Garden for a decade, and while he’s loved every minute of entertaining his fans at age 75, it’s time to relax.

“It’s been a dream come true,” Billy said to the crowd. “I first came to Madison Square Garden when I was a 4-year-old to see the Circus and watch Gene Autry sing Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. And now, here I am doing this. Thanks, Mom!” He said.
