However, he decided to tilt his camera upward, catching a magnificent view of the northern lights from below. It’s pretty hard not to be jealous of the incredible view outside this man’s Alaska home. Not only is the aurora borealis visible in his footage, but it stretches overhead like a rippling, green river of light. Watching the video almost makes you feel like you could reach up and touch it!
“Opened the door at 2 a.m. last night to find this…” the man wrote in his clip.

Known as “The Aurora Guy,” on social media, the Alaska resident who posted the video above regularly uploads jaw-dropping footage of the aurora borealis. In one amazing clip, he happened to be walking home when the northern lights appeared above. Even the ground turned green beneath the all-encompassing glow of the magnificent sky!
This guy is pretty lucky to be able to witness the aurora borealis in his own backyard so often. We’re grateful that he chooses to share these magical occurrences with all of his followers. Even if some of us can’t see the northern lights for ourselves, at least we get a glimpse through his videos!
