Burger King Branches Out With Unusual Menu Item, Diners Have Mixed Thoughts

Burger King Menu

Things are getting kind of crazy in the fast-food world lately. We saw the promised return of cult favorites like the chicken Snack Wrap at McDonalds, and KFC launched the new concept Saucy in Orlando this week. Other brands have flipped the script and added things to the menu that no one saw coming. Taco Bell now has nuggets for customers to enjoy with their tacos. If that wasn’t interesting enough, Burger King’s expanded menu now has tacos. That’s right, you can grab a Whopper and a crispy taco at participating Burger King restaurants for a limited time.

This Was One Burger King Menu Item No One Saw Coming

Markie Devo shared the BK taco news on Instagram with an interesting post. It explores, in part, “Burger King previously sold tacos at some locations years ago, now they’re back at select locations. Burger King Crispy Tacos feature seasoned beef, melted American cheese, crisp lettuce, and zesty taco sauce in a crunchy tortilla shell.”

Markie shared that Burger King enthusiasts claim they’ve seen tacos on the menu in San Antonio, and other franchises will carry them as well. The best way to tell if a location near you will serve tacos is to check the app for availability.

This addition perplexed some fans.

A critic from “We didn’t ask for that. But bring back the whopperito though.”

This person had a different suggestion, “Stick to burgers. They could do taco-inspired burgers.”

This person wonders what is happening to the world. They wrote, “We got NFL on Netflix, tacos at Burger King and chicken nuggets at Taco Bell.”

But it’s not all bad. This fan welcomed the new Burger King menu item, “Dude, I’m in the select few who actually enjoyed these! I think that they were much better than Jack In The Box tacos!”
