In the adorable clip, Buzz Lightyear initially seemed to be having some trouble conversing with the little boy, who is Hard of Hearing (HOH). However, this Disney character looked incredibly excited when the kid’s mother began using sign language. Apparently, the cast member knew how to sign, as well! Soon, he was having the sweetest chat with the young child.
As soon as Buzz began signing, the boy’s smile grew wide. He seemed amazed that the Disney character was so fluent in sign language! Mom was clearly pretty thrilled to see the cast member using ASL to communicate with her son.
Of course, Buzz Lightyear wasn’t about to leave the boy’s older sister out of the conversation. He spent a few moments signing with her, too, before taking an adorable group photo with both kids. These children looked so happy as they posed for the picture! It must have made their day to be able to use sign language with the Disney cast member.

In another social media post, the same family shared that Mom, Dad, and their daughter are all Deaf. Meanwhile, their son is Hard of Hearing. Together, they’re known as That Deaf Family.

It’s so heartwarming that these two kids were able to experience such a magical moment with Buzz Lightyear! Kudos to the Disney cast member who took the time to converse with them in sign language.
