Carrot Cake The Kitty Has Emotional Reunion After Being Rescued From California Fires

The California wildfires continue to impact countless people in the Los Angeles area. As a result, many people have lost everything they own. This includes a man named Stephen. His family’s home burned to the ground. While every human in the family was okay, their precious cat was missing. Needless to say, they were devastated. Days passed without a single glimmer of hope that they’d ever get a reunion with their cat.

Finally, one day, Stephen got an unexpected call. It was from the Pasadena Humane society. Turns out, the poor creature had survived! He was found my a first responder in Altadena. According to the shelter, his paws were burned and he was suffering from smoke inhalation and dehydration.

“He was rushed to Pasadena Humane, where we provided him with fluids and medications to manage his pain,” Pasadena Human shares in a social media post. “Luckily, Carrot Cake had a microchip.”

In other words, this microchip saved Carrot Cake’s life. It did so by allowing the workers at the shelter to locate Stephen’s number. Once they got in contact with him, he rushed to finally reunite with his beloved cat. See the emotional reunion for yourself in the video below.
