In the footage, the poor kitty was meowing piteously when the man arrived with the tools to get her down. He appeared to have brought a truck with an aerial lift, which would allow him to elevate himself to where the creature was trapped. However, as he prepared to rescue the cat, the man warned her not to hurt him.
“Just don’t mess me up, alright?” he said.
Luckily, this kitty didn’t seem to be especially aggressive. In fact, she was more scared and confused than anything else! At first, the man attempted to coax her into climbing onto his arm. When the animal didn’t respond, he ended up simply picking her up. It was way too cute how this cat cuddled up to the man’s chest after being rescued!
Internet users loved seeing this wholesome cat rescue.

This precious video has received over eight million views on social media. After watching the way this guy interacted with the kitty while saving her, commenters were pretty sure he would end up adopting the animal!
“‘I don’t even like cats’ famous last words of a brand new cat owner,” one user joked.

Another added, “This was destined. A cat on a pole and a person with a cherry picker. You are soulmates.”

Sadly, in an update video, the man revealed that he would not be adopting the cat. However, he did share that the kitty had found a loving new home with someone else. This may not be the happy ending some viewers were hoping for, but it’s a happy ending nonetheless!
