Cats can be obnoxious and make horrible housemates, but people still choose to live with them. The furry little cretins are nocturnal and live by the motto, “If I’m up, everybody is up!” It should be no surprise to cat owners when they hear things that go bump in the night. Having a cat may cause sleep deprivation.
Ashford Squirrel is a gray tabby cat. He isn’t just any cat, though. He has a favorite hobby, meaning no one will sleep when this cat is home. His instrument of choice is a small fan. Please note his perfect posture and concentration as he seeks just the right pitch.
The cat sticks its paw into the fan, creating a sound unlike anything you have ever heard. Don’t worry; Ash tells us that his dad ensured it’s safe because the blades are made from foam. The sound resembles a poorly played didgeridoo crossed with a washboard and topped off with a smattering of baseball cards in bicycle spokes. Ash considers himself somewhat of a DJ, busily creating new mixes throughout the day.
You’ve all heard the phrase, “This is why we can’t have nice things”? Ash the cat’s music-making all day and night is why his family gets no sleep! If he isn’t busy practicing, he might take time to interview a bluejay or, annoyingly, wake up his big brother to practice their war cries. Ash also gets mellow time to lounge around and bathe like a typical cat.
