It’s no battle of the bands, but we’re still extremely invested in this hilarious round of cat vs. guitar! This adorably impromptu talent competition broke out while musician Martin Motnik was sitting on the couch, playing his stringed instrument. That’s when a four-legged friend felt like joining in with some music of his own! As the kitty began to meow, the artist decided to start imitating the animal’s sounds with his guitar. We think he did a pretty good job!

Motnik shared this hysterical clip of cat vs. guitar on YouTube. In the video, the noisy feline was sitting across the room from the musician while he played. When the cat uttered a meow, Motnik created an almost identical note using his guitar. In response, the kitty tried to trip him up with a new sound: two short meows. Not missing a beat, the artist flawlessly reproduced the pet’s vocalizations. This went on for a while, much to the amusement of the person behind the camera, who couldn’t help but giggle at the bizarre competition.
We’re not sure who won this round of cat vs. guitar. We’re not even sure if the feline was aware that a game was being played. All we know is that this video is absolutely adorable!
