Some babies are born bald as a cue ball; others are born with a thick head of hair.

While there are tons of old wive’s tales to explain why some babies are born with a mop of hair and others are born with a smooth pate, the fact of the matter is that both ethnicity and genetics play a role in the follicle game. Some babies are even born with lots of hair, only to have it all fall out within the first month or two of being born!
That was not the case for one sweet little girl from Japan, and now Chanco’s bushy bouffant has earned her over 70,000 fans on Instagram.

Wow, that’s a lot of hair!
Chanco was born in December 2017 with a full head of hair, but unlike some infants, her hair continued to grow… and grow… and GROW.
Instagram
Now seven months old, Chanco’s mom documents her luxurious locks on her Instagram, which she calls a “hair diary.” Each time a new photo is uploaded, thousands of people flock to the page to “like” and comment on the adorable pictures.

Chanco is a verifiable Insta-celeb, all because of that incredible head of hair.

She’s also adorable in spite of the ‘do, which definitely doesn’t hurt her popularity. Look at those chunky little thighs and sweet facial expressions? She’s like a living doll!
Instagram
Chanco’s mother often adorns the infant’s bushy hair with ribbons, bows, and other pretty ornaments meant to show off that massive head of hair. She looks so pretty, both with and without the decorations.
Instagram
Aside from her envious locks, little Chanco is a perfectly normal baby with no health problems or other remarkable traits. Her hair truly sets her apart from every other kid out there, though, so it’s no wonder she’s now internet-famous!

You can follow Chanco’s hair diary on Instagram to see more pictures of the little sweetie rocking her giant hairdo. She’s making people from all over the world smile when they see her, and since that hair doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, it seems likely that our new hair-hero will be around for a long time to come.
