Still, mistakes can happen, causing a product to be mislabeled. That’s what happened to Hannaford’s brand of Breaded Chicken Cutlets. Due to a mislabeling, consumers were not made aware that the product contains milk, one of the major allergens.

This recall was officially issued by the retailer on July 17. Since then, all of the products that were affected have been removed from store shelves. That being said, it’s still very important that consumers check their own homes for the product to ensure their safety.

- Dates Sold: Between January 24, 2024 and July 17, 2024
- Located: Deli cooler section of Hannaford stores
As of the time this article is being written, Hannaford has confirmed that there are no reported illnesses due to this mislabeling. That being said, if you or someone you know is allergic to milk, it’s important to stay aware of any symptoms.
Chicken Recall May Cause Allergic Reactions in Consumers Allergic to Milk
This is especially true of allergic reactions that may require medical attention. Signs of anaphylaxis, a fatal reaction to an allergen, include shortness of breath, hives, vomiting, weak pulse, and more.
