Chihuahua Hilariously Plays Dead Every Time This Guy Picks Him Up.

We’ve all heard of possums playing dead as a defense mechanism, but we’ve never seen a dog play dead in a last-ditch effort to escape the clutches of his evil nemesis… until now.

This little Chihuahua just, for whatever reason, doesn’t like his dad’s brother. And he’ll go so far as to play dead just to get this guy to put him down – preferably back in Dad’s lap where he belongs.

Jennie Kay Blair Ferguson posted the hilarious video below back in 2014, showing her dad Liston Blair’s Chihuahua going completely limp, lolling tongue and all, whenever Uncle Daniel picks him up for some good ol’ TLC. But pup’s not having it. If they think he’s going to snuggle up and dole out kisses to just anybody, especially this guy, they’re dead wrong.

For whatever reason, the dog “hates Daniel and barks constantly at him,”she explained. “He is also scared to death when Daniel gets him. This is what happens.â€

Then, by some miracle, he spontaneously revives the moment he’s safely back in Dad’s lap.

Let’s try that again. Maybe it was just a fluke.

No heartbeat, no signs of breathing, pupil’s dilated. Stiff as a board. At least, until he’s back on Liston’s lap.

At least one Chihuahua owner is all too familiar with this ploy, noting most of them establish an especially close bond with just one person:

And yet another could relate on an entirely different level:

Whenever a dog, cat, or other animal takes an immediate and unwarranted dislike to you, it’s pretty hard not to be offended. But this ridiculous charade is pretty hilarious, so we’re sure the laughs more than make up for whatever damage he’s doing to Daniel’s ego.

Watch as this conniving little Chihuahua drops dead and spontaneously revives again and again, and share with someone else who needs a laugh today.
