Viral Mugshot

Lily Stewart was just another college coed until her March 8 mugshot went viral. The 20-year-old beauty attends the University of Georgia and found herself in a pickle earlier this month when the police pulled her over for speeding. She told People at the time that radar had clocked her at 85 miles per hour in a 55-mile-per-hour zone. Police arrested her, and she posted a $440 bond. Soon after the arrest, Lily smiled big for the camera, and once that mugshot hit social media, she quickly went viral.

The Viral Mugshot Surprised Her

The UGA student told people, “I look like a basic white girl, and I am,” she said. “I think it’s hilarious. One of them was like, ‘We know she has a monogram rain jacket’ — which I do.”

Lily added, “There are some beautiful mug shots. I don’t think mine’s particularly stunning,” she said. “I actually think it’s a bad photo of me. If you see me in person, I don’t really look the same as I do in that mug shot. I don’t think it’s a great photo of me.”

Following her speeding ticket, Lily hired an attorney who was able to “get it taken care of” for her.

Morgan County Sheriff Tyler Hooks told People Lily “could have hurt herself or someone else,” and he added that he hopes she learned a “lesson.”

The sheriff also felt that Lily might have been acting like she was above the law, and her viral mugshot wasn’t helping.

“We should never glorify this type of behavior … I hope she doesn’t get the attention like she did last time,” he added.

In a strange twist, police arrested Lily twice on March 23 and booked around 5:30 a.m. on obstruction charges.

According to People, she posted a $4,000 bag and was released from jail around 11 a.m. There is no word on how she felt about her most recent viral mugshot.
