Cookie Retirement: Fans Wave Goodbye To Two Girl Scout Cookie Flavors

Close up of three boxes of Girl Scout cookies: Thin Mints, adventurefuls, and samoas

Since 1917, Girl Scouts have offered the world some of the most delicious cookies. While there are some long-time favorites, like the iconic Thin Mint, not all of them stick around. Over the years, some flavors have left the lineup, much to the disappointment of fans. And at the start of Girl Scout cookie season 2025, fans are getting ready to say goodbye to two more flavors.

The first is called Girl Scout S’mores. As the name implies, it was based on everyone’s favorite snack to have while camping. This flavor was introduced in 2017. Then there is Toast-Yays, an even more recent addition. It debuted in 2021, inspired by French toast. Neither can claim the title for most popular flavor, but that certainly doesn’t mean they won’t be missed!

On social media, fans of the flavors are sharing their feelings over the news, with one woman sharing, “Whaaaaattttt I would’ve ordered more!!!!!!” and another admitting, “My new favorite and it’s going away!”

Another person shares how they’ll be dealing with the disappointing news, no doubt inspiring others to do the same: “Stocking my freezer with S’mores!!”

Get Ready to Say Goodbye to These Beloved Girl Scout Cookies

While these flavors are set to be discontinued, they’re not gone just yet. Fans of these Girl Scout cookies have until the end of the 2025 season to snag some more. According to the Girl Scout website, their seasons last between January and April.

As disappointing as this news may be to many, there is a bright side. The purpose of removing these flavors is to make room for new ones. And who knows, maybe the newest flavors in 2026 will include your new favorite!

“We routinely reevaluate our cookie lineup to make room for new innovations,” a spokesperson for Girl Scouts shares. “Discontinuing Toast-Yay! and Girl Scout S’mores may lead to something new and delicious.”
