Coca-Cola lovers rejoice. Come summer 2025, you can once again enjoy a Coke and smile in the Costco food court. It’s been rumored for some time that Costco will replace its Pepsi fountain soda machine with Coca-Cola, but no one has made an official announcement—that is, until now. According to CNN, Costco CEO Ron Vachris made the announcement at an annual shareholder meeting on January 23. “We will be converting our food court fountain business back over to Coca-Cola.”

There’s long been a battle between Coke and Pepsi. For years, Costco carried Coke products in its food court but made a switch in 2013.
“It’s a big shift,” Alan Bubitz, vice president of food services for Costco, said of the change to Pepsi more than a decade ago. “They’re the only vendor we’ve ever had for the majority of the business locations.”
Coca-Cola At Costco Made Lots Of People Excited
Brand loyalty is big in the soda industry, and many soda drinkers will tell you that they go for the red can over the blue or vice versa. Redditors hashed out the rumors for weeks before Ron Vachris made the announcement, and there are strong opinions.
TikTokers also got in on the Coca-Cola versus Pepsi debate, and it appears a lot of people are ready for this switch at Costco.
A TikToker who posts as @butthatsmyopion shared his excitement, saying, “Now this is nothing but great news because, let’s be honest, the current soda choices at Costco are absolute doo.”
He captioned his post, “Are you excited for Coke products in the Costco food court?”
His followers were happy to have Coca-Cola back at Costco.
One commented, “Yessss.”
Another joked, “Who’s ready to get Coked up!”
TikTok Cameron Gunn, who posts as @guncam, joked in a video, “My condolences to the three of four people who actually like Pepsi products.”
A follower commented, “They already had me with the hot dog, lol, but now I can actually enjoy a sodie, too.”
Another wrote, “Good riddance. They could’ve at least offered Mountain Dew. The Pepsi options were terrible I just drank water.”
There is no word on the actual drop date for Coca-Cola at Costco, but we are ready.
