You’d be surprised at what you can do when you think outside of the box. Over the last 12 years, that’s exactly what John and Fin have done, and now they share their journey on TikTok. It all started when the couple bought a shed for $6,500. It was only 12 feet by 30 feet, but it was all they needed to get started on what would eventually become their dream home.

Over the years, their shed has been expanded and transformed in ways that make it unrecognizable, something made all the more impressive by the fact that much of the renovations were DIY. They’ve also branched out their backyard by purchasing much of the land around them (16 acres, to be exact) so they have space for things like their farm and the tiny houses on wheels they rent out on Airbnb.
It’s so cool to see the way John and Fin have worked together over the years to build a home that they love. Now, they’re helping inspire others to do the same, as can be seen in the countless comments folks leave on their videos.
