“Covering Beyoncé At The 5th Grade Talent Show Like It’s No Big Deal”

School talent shows can be the perfect way for kids to express themselves. Once in a blue moon, however, it’s also where budding stars are discovered. That was certainly the case for Christina Ogea’s daughter, Violet. Although she is only in the 5th grade, the song she chose to sing at her school’s talent show is a bit of an older classic: Beyoncé’s If I Were a Boy.

I know what you may be thinking… a 5th grader taking on a song by Beyoncé? That is one bold move… and you would be right! But Violet chose this song for good reasons. There is the fact that it’s still an amazing song, of course. But it’s also because she has the skills needed to absolutely nail this song! See for yourself in the popular video below.

Can you imagine how intimidating it must be for a 10-year-old to sing in front of a crowd like that? And yet, despite any nerves Violet may have been dealing with, she still managed to pull off a nearly flawless performance. It’s truly no wonder so many people from all around the world have become invested in her future as a singer.

This Talented 10-Year-Old Girl Wows Everyone with Her Unexpected Talent Show Performance

Luckily, Violet already has her family’s full support. According to another post from Christina, her little girl officially started voice and piano lessons this year. So, yes, you will find her frequently singing around the house, as seen below!

“She has a tear jerking voice. Pulls at your heart strings,” someone points out in reply to Christina’s video, with another person adding, “As a teacher, this would bring me to tears at the talent show. She’s so talented!”
