It was a long goodbye, but Hoda Kotb officially retired from the Today Show on January 10. Her team will miss her, but as the old saying goes, “The show must go on.” Craig Melvin, 45, stepped into Hoda’s chair as a co-host of Today alongside Savannah Guthrie. He officially reported from duty on January 13 to the delight of fans. To kick off his first show, Craig and Savannah also stopped by The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon to chat about the transition. Of course, Jimmy wasn’t going to make this any boring old interview, he had to spice things up. Before Craig Melvin knew it, Jimmy asked him to show off his signature dance. Of course, he didn’t’ want to disappoint, so Craig showed off his moves.

Craig Melvin Did An Old-School Dance
As the music played, he got up, danced the Pony, and then slipped into a running man. For all the forty-somethings out there, it made us feel a bit nostalgic for the good old days. Craig took a bit of ribbing from Carson Daley, Laura Jarret, and Al Roker the following day. But fans cheered him on in Jimmy’s YouTube comment section.
